"I...I threw them into the well," she stammered. "You told me they weren't buried treasure, so I threw them away!"

"That's what he's looking for," Jefferson cried. "That's got to be it...we'll give him the seeds and then he'll go away."

Missy sat still and looked at her hands. "I'm not going near that spooky, old well, Jay-Jay." She looked at the face of her very best friend and began to shiver.

"And I'm never EVER going to go into the garden."
